You could use storage ottomans instead of a coffee table or an antique dresser instead of an entertainment center, or even hide an entire wall of shelving behind attractive curtains on ceiling-mounted rods.

Black and White photos: A series of black and white photographs framed above a bed is always a sophisticated classic – the bigger the better!

Wallpaper or Stencil: A repeating pattern in wallpaper stands on its own and rarely needs further embellishment, although a mirror on top looks great too!  Pair coordinated bedding to complete the look.

4. Consider adding wainscoting, bead board, or other trim

Retro Kitchens

Retro style colors are bright and playful including candyfloss pink and sky blue. You can also use red, black, white, and yellow in the kitchen. Chekered floors look great with bright accents.
